Biography

Robert Paul Ocker - Lives in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, with his wife and two daughters.  He is a Professional Middle School Guidance Counselor for the Lake Geneva Schools.  As an educator, his passion and life purpose had been to guide, inspire, motivate and empower youth of all ages. He is a contributing author of the original book Indigo Children by Lee Carroll and Jan Tober (1999).  He is working on his next series of books, The 7 Abilities of EmPOWERment, The 7 Abilities of Evolved Children and The Quest for the 7 Scared Stones– (a children’s fantasy novel that is written with the help of these magical children.)  Robert is known by enthusiastic, educational and entertaining presentations to audiences of all ages. He offers presentations and keynote addresses on a variety of topics from parenting, education and wellness.  He offers courses and workshops on The 7 Abilities of EmPOWERment where he has written a curriculum to work with children, educators and parents.  He has trained and empowered educators, teachers, parents and students of all ages.


During the summer months he consults as a Family Dynamics Consultant with organizations and teaches graduate courses to educators on building Student, Staff and Personal Wellness.  He is a member of the American Counselor Association, and highly involved in a leadership role as a Governing Board member for the Wisconsin School Counselor Association (WSCA).  The Wisconsin School Counselor Association recognized him as one of the most outstanding educational leaders of this time. His concepts and ideas are creative, visionary and very practical.  He understands the needs of all children and serves as an agent of change and a merchant of hope for children and humanity.

As certified preschool through 12th grade Guidance Counselor, Robert has worked for over 20 years in the public schools finding out what works and what does not with children of all ability levels. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Communication from the University of Wisconsin  Eau Claire. During his undergraduate studies he was recognized for his outstanding communication and leadership skills. He also holds a Masters of Science degree in Guidance and School Counseling from the University of Wisconsin - Stout.  During his graduate work, the University honored Robert for his outstanding research, thesis, and educational vision.  He has studied, lived, traveled and presented throughout  Europe.  He is a “paradigm pioneer” for education and child development.  He is a  sincere, kind, caring and energetic individual who shares his gifts with children and adults alike.
